Zach Timson is a writer, actor, editor, producer, and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. After starting his career at 11 years old as “Michael Banks” in the Broadway national tour of Mary Poppins, Zach moved out to LA in 2013 and has been an Angeleno ever since!
As a comedic actor, Zach is best known for his work on the Emmy-winning Netflix sketch comedy series The Who Was? Show, where he played 40+ characters in a single season. He continues to act to this day, appearing in many regional musicals and in improv theaters such as the Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, and ComedySportz LA. Zach can also be seen in his viral YouTube video, "The Broadway Coronavirus Medley."
Since his college years, Zach has continued to work steadily as a freelance writer, video editor, and production assistant for various clients and projects. As a writer, Zach has won multiple awards for his television pilot scripts and a marketing award for his original musical, To All Our Dead Pets. He has also written for iHeartMedia’s The Who Was? Podcast, helping the team win a Silver Medal Signal Award for Best Kids Podcast in 2022, and he is currently writing a brand new original musical, Celebrity Jeopardy: The Musical.
He has worked for the Walt Disney Company in multiple different avenues. This includes as an actor for Disney Theatrical Group and Disney Channel, a cast member at Walt Disney World, a Jungle Cruise Skipper and Trainer at the Disneyland Resort, and as a collaborator with writers and producers from Disney Television Animation and Walt Disney Imagineering. He hopes to continue working for TWDC as an Imagineer or Staff Writer in the future.
Zach is passionate about making people laugh and dreams of becoming a writer, performer, or producer for a late night comedy series, half-hour sitcom, or a beloved theme park attraction. He loves his family, his girlfriend Julia, and his dog Cali, and he also used to be able to ride a unicycle. That last detail is not super important, he just thought you should know.
